About

Hui Wang is a final-year PhD candidate in Transport Geography at The University of Hong Kong, supervised by Prof. Becky P.Y. Loo. He received his M.Eng. in Transport Engineering from Tongji University (2022) and B.Eng. in Railway Transport Engineering from Beijing Jiaotong University (2019).


🔬 His academic training encompasses both engineering and social sciences. His research focuses on sustainable transport solutions for future cities 🌆, developing people-oriented and place-based methods to build safe, inclusive, efficient, and healthy transport systems.


📄 His work has been published in journals such as Transportation Research Part A, Journal of Transport Geography, Tunnelling and Underground Space Technology, and Transport Reviews. 🏆 He has received awards including the HKU Research Postgraduate Student Innovation Award (2026), First Prize in the INFORMS Railway Operations Research Competition (2020), and the China National Scholarship (2022).
