About

Hui is a third-year PhD candidate at the Department of Geography, The University of Hong Kong. He is currently working on sustainable transport solutions for future cities, supervised by Professor Becky P.Y. Loo and funded by The Joint Lab on Future Cities. Hui received his Master's degree in Transport Engineering from the College of Transportation at Tongji University in June 2022, and his B.E. degree in Railway Transport Engineering from the School of Traffic and Transportation at Beijing Jiaotong University in June 2019. He has received several honors, including the China National Scholarship, the Outstanding Graduate Award of Shanghai, and the Outstanding Master's Thesis award.

His academic training encompasses both engineering and social sciences. Currently, he focuses on developing people-oriented and place-based methods to facilitate safe, inclusive, efficient, and healthy transport systems.
