About

Hui is a third-year PhD candidate at the Department of Geography, The University of Hong Kong. Under the expert guidance of Professor Becky P.Y. Loo and with the invaluable support of The Joint Lab on Future Cities, he is exploring sustainable transport solutions to ensure the sustainability of future cities. Hui received his Master's degree in Transport Engineering from the College of Transportation Engineering, at Tongji University in June 2022 and the B.E. degree in Railway Transport Engineering from the School of Traffic and Transportation, at Beijing Jiaotong University in June 2019, respectively. He has been awarded several honors, including the China National Scholarship, Outstanding Graduate Award of Shanghai, and Outstanding Master's Thesis award.

His training encompasses both engineering and social sciences and his current research focuses on developing people-oriented and place-based methods to facilitate safe, inclusive, efficient, and healthy transport systems, contributing transformative changes to next-generation mobility.
